Sgt. Kevin Lee, Commanding General’s Mounted Color Guard, interacts with horses that were tamed as part of the Kansas Wild Horse Program Jan. 11 in Hutchinson, Kan.  Troopers and NCOs with the CGMCG and some of their spouses traveled to the Hutchinson Correctional Facility for the visit.  Since 2001, the facility has teamed with the Bureau of Land Management to serve as a regional holding and training facility for wild horses removed from public lands. This was Simmons’ first year competing, participating as a level I rider. He placed first in mounted sabre and second in combat horsemanship.
