Pfc. Jason Morales, 20, died April 18 in Baghdad, Iraq, when he came under small arms fire while on dismounted patrol.

He was an Infantryman assigned to 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.

Morales' home of record is La Puente, Calif.

He entered the Army in November 2005 and began serving at Fort Riley in March 2006.

This was Morales' first deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He is the 94th Fort Riley soldier killed supporting the Global War on Terrorism.
