Spc. Jeffrey S. Henthorn, Killed Feb. 8, 2005

Spc. Jeffrey S. Henthorn, 25, of Choctaw, Okla., died Feb. 8, in Balad, Iraq. He died from non-combat related injuries.

Henthorn was a heavy vehicle operator for Fort Riley's 24th Transportation Company.

He was enlisted into the Army National Guard December 1996 and into the regular Army July 2003.

Henthorn had been stationed at Fort Riley since August 2003 and deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom in December 2004.

The incident is under investigation.

Approximately, 4,300 Fort Riley Soldiers are currently deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. This incident brings the number of Fort Riley Soldiers who have died while serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to 44.
