Sgt. Curtis E. Glawson Jr., Killed Mar. 20, 2007

Sgt. Curtis E. Glawson Jr., 24, died when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device March 20, 2007in Baghdad, Iraq.

Glawson was a light-wheel vehicle mechanic assigned to 610th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division and attached to 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment.

Glawson's home of record is Daleville, Ala. He entered the Army in 2000 and began serving with the 1st Inf. Div. in 2006. This was Glawson's first deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

Eighty-eight Soldiers from Fort Riley have died while serving in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
