Petty Officer 2nd Class Anthony Carbullido, Killed Aug. 8, 2008, Transition Team member

Petty Officer 2nd Class Anthony Carbullido, died of wounds suffered Aug. 8 at Sangatesh, Afghanistan, when the vehicle he was traveling in struck an improvised explosive device.

Carbullido, 25, was a hospital corpsman assigned to train Afghan Security Forces. His home of record is Agat, Guam. Carbullido trained for the Transition Team mission with the 1st Infantry Division from July through October 2007. He was assigned to the Naval Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, Ill.

To date, 154 servicemembers from Fort Riley have died while serving in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
