Pfc. Daniel A. Fuentes, Killed Apr. 6, 2007

Pfc. Daniel A. Fuentes, 19, died April 6 when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq.

In a separate attack, Pfc. Jay S. Cajimat, 20, died April 6 when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his location in Baghdad, Iraq.

Fuentes was an infantryman assigned to 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. Fuentes' home of record is Levittown, N.Y. He entered the Army in 2005 and began serving with the 1st Inf. Div. in 2006. This was Fuentes' first deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

Cajimat was an infantryman assigned to 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. Cajimat's home of record is Lahaina, Hawaii. He entered the Army is 2005 and began serving with the 1st Inf. Div. in 2005. This was Cajimat's first deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

To date, 91 Soldiers from Fort Riley have died while serving in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
