Several teams and individuals were honored during a July 17 Installation Awards ceremony at Riley’s Conference Center.

“There’s always great work being done here,” said Garrison Commander Col. Andrew Cole.

Individual awards included the June Employee of the Month and the Employee of the Quarter.

Lt. Mckenney Tremble, watch commander, Directorate of Emergency Services, was named the June Employee of the Month for putting together a guard force to work at the access control points on post.

Matthew Allain, electronics technician, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, was Employee of the Quarter for his efforts in creating the catalog system used to run the Training Support Center.

Allain received a check from the command for $1,000.

A total of 11 civilian employees from several directorates on post were honored for their effort and support of the Safety Stand-Down Campaign.

Each member provided information vital to the campaign, in addition to cross coordinating efforts, to make it a success.

Fort Riley Education Services, Directorate of Human Resources, received a team award for providing exceptional services to Fort Riley and 1st Infantry Division Soldiers, family members, civilians and the community for going above and beyond the call of duty.

The team was responsible for creating outreach support to deployed Soldiers, by creating a guide and an online support video. The team also runs Facebook and Twitter pages to keep students up-to-date on educational opportunities.

Soldiers and civilians who participated in the Installation Infrastructure Vision Session received a team award for their support, professional collaboration and commitment in planning for the long-term viability of the installation during the session and Real Property Vision Plan Development.

The third and final team award was presented to the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation’s special events team for the successful execution of several consecutive, large community events, including Victory Celebration and Fireworks, USO Sesame Street Experience and the Brett Eldredge concert.
