Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP) Offers Soldiers an Opportunity to Improve Skills

The Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP) is an on-duty program that supports the Army goal of enlisting and retaining quality Soldiers by providing instruction in the basic skills of reading, math, and language as well as providing GT Improvement classes to assist Soldiers preparing for AFCT retest. Students are granted residential college credit for successful completion of the program. Formal classroom instruction is augmented with computer-based training and software to allow for individual needs. Basic Skills and GT Improvement courses are three weeks in length, three hours per day, five days per week. Enrollment is completed at the Main Post Education Center Building 217 Room 109. A Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE)is required prior to enrollment to assiste in placement and determine individual needs. Classes meet in Building 7656.
