By | Education Services, DHR | March 07, 2012

April 17, 2014 --

LSEC is designed to assist in training Noncommissioned Officers and soldiers demonstrating leadership potential in the advanced skills needed to perform at a higher-level of leadership. LSEC benefits the Army by providing the soldier specific leadership training which will enhance performance of the soldier and the unit. Unit Commanders can schedule training to meet unit needs or enroll the soldier in a scheduled class.

Classes are available to Soldiers with Commander's approval.  Adult Family Members, DA Civilians, Retirees, and Reservists may enroll on a space-available basis. Classes also provide an opportunity for personal and professional development.

LSEC courses are scheduled seven cycles per year; each cycle is six weeks in length. Classes meet Monday - Friday for 90 minutes (days and times may vary). Tuition and books are provided at no cost to the student for the duration of the course, and must be returned by the last day of class.  Students are able to complete an Associate’s degree and transfer credits to major universities.

Enrollment for LSEC classes is done through GoArmyEd, so stop by Main Post Learning Center, 217 Custer Avenue, phone (785) 239-6481 or DSN 856-6481 for assistance.
