Several teams and individuals
were honored during a July 17 Installation Awards ceremony at Riley’s
“There’s always great work
being done here,” said Garrison Commander Col. Andrew Cole.
Individual awards included
the June Employee of the Month and the Employee of the Quarter.
Lt. Mckenney Tremble, watch
commander, Directorate of Emergency Services, was named the June Employee of
the Month for putting together a guard force to work at the access control
points on post.
Matthew Allain, electronics
technician, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, was
Employee of the Quarter for his efforts in creating the catalog system used to
run the Training Support Center.
Allain received a check
from the command for $1,000.
A total of 11 civilian
employees from several directorates on post were honored for their effort and
support of the Safety Stand-Down Campaign.
Each member provided
information vital to the campaign, in addition to cross coordinating efforts,
to make it a success.
Fort Riley Education
Services, Directorate of Human Resources, received a team award for providing exceptional
services to Fort Riley and 1st Infantry Division Soldiers, family members,
civilians and the community for going above and beyond the call of duty.
The team was responsible
for creating outreach support to deployed Soldiers, by creating a guide and an online
support video. The team also runs Facebook and Twitter pages to keep students
up-to-date on educational opportunities.
Soldiers and civilians who
participated in the Installation Infrastructure Vision Session received a team award
for their support, professional collaboration and commitment in planning for
the long-term viability of the installation during the session and Real
Property Vision Plan Development.
The third and final team
award was presented to the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation’s
special events team for the successful execution of several consecutive, large
community events, including Victory Celebration and Fireworks, USO Sesame
Street Experience and the Brett Eldredge concert.
