Family Subsistence Supplemental Allowance
Story by: FRP Staff
The Family Subsistence Supplemental Allowance (FSSA) is a program designed to provide additional income to Soldiers who are receiving food stamps and/or are below 130% of the poverty level.
To apply for the Family Subsistence Supplemental Allowance, the initial application must be completed on the web site. If the web site indicates that the Soldier is eligible for this allowance, print the web site application and take it to Army Community Service's Financial Readiness Program. You will need to bring your most recent End-of-the-Month Leave and Earnings Statement (EOM LES).
