Call for Fire Trainer (CFFT)
Soldiers at Instructor Operator Station in the Call For Fire Trainer
The CFFT is a cost effective PC-based training system that provides high-resolution photo-realistic terrain scenes, visual and audio effects for moving targets, and ammunition effects. It also incorporates TACFIRE digital communications. High fidelity graphics of tanks, trucks, machine gun emplacements, and other military targets are provided. High Explosive (HE), White Phosphorous (WP), Improved Conventional Munitions (ICM), illumination, and other ammunition effects are simulated. Audio effects are time-delayed to realistically simulate the real-world delay between visual cues and audio cues. There are three systems, one located in building # 7750, a 1:30 classroom version that has one instructor station and 30 student stations. The other two systems are located in building 1861, both are 1:18 classroom versions that has one instructor station and 18 student stations.
