Q. How do I reserve the TTB?
A. Your component determines how space is reserved at the TTB. Ft. Riley units schedule through the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) and Range Scheduling at 785-239-5131. National Guard and Reserve units are scheduled through the Reserve Component Support Division (RCSD) at 785-239-6610. ALL units must also coordinate with the Operations Specialist at 785-239-4738 or Logistics Support at 785-239-5123, no later than 1-week prior to occupation.
Q. Where can my unit store ammo?
A. Basic load of blanks is allowed on the TTB. Other ammo must be stored at Ft. Riley's Ammunition Holding Area on Caisson Hill Road.
Q. What kind of equipment can the TTB handle?
A. The TTB can handle standard tactical vehicles such as HMMWVs and 5 Tons. It can also handle HETs without trailers. Track vehicles are not allowed within the TTB but can park outside the perimeter. The Landing Zone can accommodate 4 Black Hawks or 4 CH47 (D).
Q. Can maintenance be performed at the TTB?
A. Due to environmental constraints, no maintenance can be performed inside the perimeter of the TTB.
Q. Can the TTB provide role players that could be used as COBs?
A. The TTB does not, but Ft. Riley does have role players through Eagle Support Services at (785)761-5041.
Q. What kind of heat is in the tents in winter?
A. The TTB uses MV60 and H45 heaters. Fuel is provided, however units must bring their own fuel spouts. Operators must be licensed (annotated on OF-348).
