The colors of the DHHB fly next to the national colors following a transfer of authority ceremony April 12 at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The battalion replaced the 1st Cavalry Division’s headquarters battalion, becoming TF Defender and assuming responsibility of operations in the Parwan Province, Afghanistan.
